Makayla & Carter

''Anna is one-of-a-kind. Her differentiating factor is her natural ability to put you at ease in front of her camera and uniquely capture the most real and most blissful, vibrant moments on your wedding day so effortlessly. Her positive energy added an extra layer of FUN to our wedding weekend!''

She has an expert eye for color and design and flawlessly mixing classic and modern elements in her photography. Anna is a talent, and a gem. My husband and I are overjoyed and could not have had this experience with anyone else!

OLIVIA

DOUGLAS

At the historic Tudor Place in Georgetown, Olivia and Douglas’s engagement session felt relaxed, romantic, and quietly elegant. Wandering garden paths and sunlit walkways, their portraits focused on natural connection and ease — laughter, movement, and moments that felt entirely their own. The result is a collection that feels timeless and personal, setting the tone for their upcoming celebration with understated charm.

OLIVIA

DOUGLAS

Olivia and Douglas were married at Woodlawn, a historic estate whose gardens and quiet symmetry set a refined tone for the day. The celebration felt intimate and personal, shaped by meaningful details rather than excess — from the bride wearing her mother’s earrings to Douglas’s father officiating the ceremony.

Planned by Anne Kelley Events, the design leaned into soft garden romance with a modern sensibility, allowing the setting and the couple’s connection to take center stage. Golden-hour light filtered through the grounds as guests gathered, creating a warm, unhurried atmosphere that carried through the evening.

The result was a wedding that felt effortless and deeply considered — elegant without formality, sentimental without spectacle — a reflection of Olivia and Douglas themselves.

Danielle

Brendan

Danielle and Brendan chose the Kennedy Center for their engagement session — a setting defined by movement, creativity, and quiet grandeur. With sculptural architecture, reflective water features, and manicured gardens, the space offered a clean, modern counterpoint to the couple’s effortless chemistry.

The session unfolded organically, guided by Danielle’s connection to the arts and the couple’s shared appreciation for design, balance, and simplicity. Soft evening light and open walkways created a sense of ease, allowing moments to feel natural rather than staged.

A brief transition to the Jefferson Memorial introduced a timeless, architectural close — grounding the session in classic Washington, DC elegance while preserving the relaxed, contemporary spirit that defines Danielle and Brendan.

"If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him. We must never forget that art is not a form of propaganda; it is a form of truth."

EB

CHRISTIAN

EB and Christian’s wedding was rooted in classic Washington, DC elegance — refined, intentional, and quietly personal. Set at The Hay‑Adams, the day unfolded against sweeping views of the White House, a backdrop that felt both iconic and intimate.

Meaningful heirlooms shaped the story of the day. EB carried her grandmother’s pin — a piece she had worn the day she met Christian — while Christian honored his grandfather with cufflinks passed down through generations. These personal details brought depth and continuity to an otherwise polished, black-tie celebration.

Following a ceremony at their church just north of the hotel, guests gathered back at The Hay-Adams for a reception defined by warmth and celebration. The evening opened with a champagne tower — a joyful nod to classic hospitality — setting the tone for a night that balanced tradition, elegance, and ease.

DANIELLE

BRENDAN

Set within the storied architecture of DAR, Danielle and Brendan’s wedding leaned into the venue’s inherent elegance — allowing historic details to anchor the design while modern restraint guided the day. The O’Byrne Gallery’s vaulted ceilings, original sconces, and arched doors opening onto the portico created a dramatic yet timeless backdrop for the celebration.

Planned with thoughtful precision by Blue Sapphire Events, the day unfolded with ease and intention. A soft palette of neutrals layered with sage and warm metallic accents complemented the venue’s classical bones, while personal details were woven in quietly, never competing with the space itself. The result was a wedding that felt elevated, composed, and deeply respectful of its setting — a seamless collaboration between architecture, design, and atmosphere.

MADELINE

MATTHEW

Madeline and Matthew’s engagement session unfolded as a quiet exploration of Washington, DC — a city that had recently become home and quickly felt like one. Clean marble lines, open water, and iconic landmarks provided a timeless backdrop, allowing their connection to take center stage without distraction.

Photographed at the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, the session balanced structure with ease. Soft movement, natural light, and understated styling gave the images a sense of calm confidence — elegant without formality, intimate without pretense. The result is a gallery that feels both grounded and anticipatory, capturing a season of transition just before their wedding day to come.

I did not want any portraits that looked too “posed” or “scripted”. Instead we had absolutely gorgeous photography, and when we look through our album we immediately feel all of the energy and raw emotion of our entire four day wedding weekend. All of the pictures take us back to those fleeting moments and preserve them forever in print.

"They went above and beyond to unobtrusively capture us and our families for the most important weekend events of our lifetime!"
