PORTFOLIO HIGHLIGHTS

Makayla & Carter

''Anna is one-of-a-kind. Her differentiating factor is her natural ability to put you at ease in front of her camera and uniquely capture the most real and most blissful, vibrant moments on your wedding day so effortlessly. Her positive energy added an extra layer of FUN to our wedding weekend!''

She has an expert eye for color and design and flawlessly mixing classic and modern elements in her photography. Anna is a talent, and a gem. My husband and I are overjoyed and could not have had this experience with anyone else!

OLIVIA

DOUGLAS

The Tudor Place museum preserves the stories of Martha Washington's descendants who lived there and the enslaved & free people who worked at the site for two centuries. Although the museum's mission primarily focuses on preservation, education, rejuvenation and community engagement, the property itself also serves as a beautiful location for weddings and engagements. With its blush-colored stucco mansion, iron gates, pebble-lined pathways, and immaculately manicured gardens, the historic Georgetown landmark with a complex history looks similar to a luxurious Italian villa in Tuscany. Olivia and Doug chose the stunning location & surrounding area for their laughter-filled pre-wedding portrait session shortly before their big day at Woodlawn in Alexandria (Tudor Place's sister location.)

OLIVIA

DOUGLAS

After meeting and dating at medical school in North Carolina, the groom's home state, Olivia and Douglas were married at Woodlawn in Alexandria, Virginia, a meaningful location where the bride spent much of her childhood with her family exploring the beautiful gardens. Douglas's father was their officiant, and Olivia wore the same earrings her mother wore on her wedding day. Other special touches included the couple's playfully titled signature drinks, The Virginian and The Carolinian, and the stunning golden hour themed reception impeccably planned by Anne Kelley Events

Danielle

Brendan

The Reach at The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts is easily one of my favorite locations for pre-wedding portrait sessions. The destination brings artists together as a place of dynamic collaboration and features their inspiring art & cultural installations in a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone belongs. The beautiful area right next to the main theater building features manicured gardens and lawns, sculptures, a reflecting pool, and modern architectural pavilions with art throughout. Between the bride's formal training in dance lending a nod to the arts, the couple's home of Arlington in the backdrop, and the gorgeous scenery, The Reach proved to be Danielle and Brendan perfect engagement session location. After a quick outfit change, the couple paired this picturesque spot with another DC landmark, the Jefferson Memorial just minutes away.

"If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him. We must never forget that art is not a form of propaganda; it is a form of truth."

- John F. Kennedy

EB

CHRISTIAN

These two DC lawyers met while participating at their law school's theatre company and bonded over trivia. They chose The Hay-Adams, one of the district's premiere venues, for their wedding because of its stunning views of the White House from the Top of the Hay and its sophisticated and classic DC vibe. EB decorated her bouquet with her grandmother's pin, which she also wore the day she met Christian. And the groom wore his grandfather's cufflinks. The couple married at their church a few blocks north of their venue and then kicked-off their reception with a celebratory champagne tower for all guests to enjoy!

DANIELLE

BRENDAN

Brendan and Danielle first met during their freshman year at Virginia Tech through mutual friends. In the years since then, Brendan and Danielle have made so many memories together: walking at graduation, starting careers, forming new friendships in their new hometown of Arlington, going on numerous vacations, and creating their first home together where Brendan later proposed. The couple had an elegant vision for their wedding with a sophisticated color palette of creme and neutral tones and accents of sage green and gold. D+B fell in love with DAR as the site for their big day as soon as they saw the stunning O’Byrne Gallery, DAR’s long ornate dining room with a beautifully decorated barreled ceiling, original sconces and fireplace, a herringbone-patterned wood floor, and gorgeous arched glass doors that open up to the domed portico balcony. Beautifully designed and coordinated by Kolena Thomas and Nikki Zelenika of Blue Sapphire Events, the wedding décor and signature details were very thoughtfully chosen. Many items had great personal significance to the couple and their loved ones, from the hand painted watercolor ‘Save the Date’ stationery designed by the couple’s artist friend to the adorable cat cake topper designed to look just like their beloved pet (Angelo), to the petite heirloom ring that the bride wore on her pinky to pay homage to her late grandmother.

MADELINE

MATTHEW

Originally from Maryland and Pennsylvania, Maddie and Matt each independently moved to Boston for their jobs in the tech industry after graduating college.. The two met at work and flew to San Francisco for training, where they got to know each other walking through the Redwoods, wine tasting at Napa and Sonoma wineries, and singing at a Karaoke bar. In the years that followed they enjoyed date nights, weekend trips around New England,, exploring the historic city of Boston, and playing games on the Nintendo Switch. Matt pulled off the best surprise, proposing to Maddie on the iconic Acorn Street in Beacon Hill, followed by champagne and dinner at Sorellina, a premiere Italian restaurant in Back Bay. To top off their perfect day, Matt coordinated a surprise engagement party with close friends to continue the celebrations!

During their engagement M&M relocated to Washington, DC for work and wanted engagement photos for their Save the Dates with all of the iconic monument backdrops that their new home had to offer. Featured here are the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials that set the scene for their DC engagement story and wedding to follow..

I did not want any portraits that looked too “posed” or “scripted”. Instead we had absolutely gorgeous photography, and when we look through our album we immediately feel all of the energy and raw emotion of our entire four day wedding weekend. All of the pictures take us back to those fleeting moments and preserve them forever in print.

"They went above and beyond to unobtrusively capture us and our families for the most important weekend events of our lifetime!"
