A Timelessly Modern Black-Tie Celebration in Washington, DC

A refined black-tie wedding at Hotel Washington — modern, elegant, and rooted in the heart of the nation’s capital.

Kaitlyn and Eric’s wedding was a study in understated sophistication. Designed for a city-loving couple with a deep appreciation for classic style, their celebration balanced clean lines, soft florals, and architectural simplicity with warmth and intention throughout the day.

Set at Hotel Washington, the celebration made thoughtful use of the venue’s modern interiors and sweeping views of the National Mall — creating a seamless connection between refined design and the iconic Washington, DC landscape. From portraits framed by expansive windows to an evening reception illuminated by candlelight, each moment felt polished yet personal.

Planned by Lisseth Orellana of Allore Events & Design, the day unfolded with effortless flow. The design leaned into a black-and-white palette softened by layered white florals and organic greenery, allowing texture and proportion to take center stage without overwhelming the space.

Our approach to photographing Kaitlyn and Eric’s wedding centered on editorial clarity and emotional presence — shaping portraits with intention while preserving the natural rhythm of the day. Quiet exchanges, shared glances, and the energy of the room were documented with the same care as the formal moments, creating a gallery that feels both composed and alive.
