Engagement sessions give us the opportunity to slow down, spend time together, and create photographs that reflect who you are outside the timeline and formality of a wedding day. They are a chance to document this season of life before your wedding day—preserving memories you'll look back on for years to come.
Before the session, I'll help guide location selection, wardrobe choices, and overall vision so everything feels intentional, personal, and uniquely you.
You'll quickly discover that you don't need to know how to pose or perform. My role is to provide guidance when it's helpful, create space when it's needed, and allow the moments that naturally unfold between you to take center stage.

Team Coverage weddings are photographed entirely by the assigned lead photographer and any additional team members included in the collection. For Team Coverage weddings, Anna Schmidt does not photograph or attend the wedding day.
Every ASP Team photographer is carefully selected and follows the same service philosophy, planning process, editing style, and commitment to client care that define the Anna Schmidt Photography experience.

More than beautiful images, I've always been fascinated by people—the relationships they build, the lives they create, and the fleeting moments that often become the most meaningful memories. Every celebration is filled with those moments, and they deserve to be preserved with care.

Inspired by fine art, travel, and a lifelong curiosity about people, I earned my degree in Photography and launched Anna Schmidt Photography in 2011. Since then, I've had the privilege of documenting weddings throughout the Washington, DC area, across the East Coast, and beyond. But what matters most isn't where I've photographed. By the time the wedding day arrives, we already know the faces, relationships, and family dynamics that matter most. That familiarity often allows for even more meaningful storytelling throughout the weekend.

Multi-day coverage is available exclusively for ASP wedding couples and begins at $1,200 for up to two hours of event coverage.

When conditions and venue locations allow, drone photography is included in many ASP wedding collections at no additional cost.
Because drone usage is subject to FAA regulations, venue policies, weather conditions, and airspace restrictions, availability cannot be guaranteed at every location. When conditions permit, we thoughtfully incorporate aerial imagery where it adds meaningful value to your final gallery.

As we sail into golden hour, I'll provide guidance when it's helpful and step back when it isn't, allowing moments to unfold naturally. The result is imagery that feels effortless, romantic, and uniquely your own.
Available in Annapolis, St. Michaels, Washington, D.C., New York City, and select waterfront destinations throughout the East Coast.
Drone photography is included whenever conditions and regulations permit. Because all sessions take place on the water, dates remain weather-dependent and may be rescheduled if conditions are unsafe.
