Ask guests what they remember most about Amina and Arsalan's wedding, and you'll likely hear about the Egyptian zaffe, the historic Belvedere ballroom, or the celebration that carried late into the evening.

But beneath all of those moments was something much quieter: a couple who genuinely enjoy being together.

That feeling appeared everywhere throughout the wedding weekend. Long before the celebrations began, Amina and Arsalan had already built a relationship rooted in trust, support, and a shared belief that life's challenges are easier when faced side by side. By the time they arrived at their wedding day, there was an ease between them that couldn't be manufactured or staged. It was simply who they are together.

Their celebrations began with an intimate Nikkah overlooking Baltimore's waterfront, where family and close friends gathered for a meaningful exchange that marked the beginning of a new chapter. The setting felt calm and personal, allowing the significance of the moment to take center stage.
For their wedding day, the celebration moved to Baltimore's historic Belvedere, where soaring ceilings, candlelight, and romantic florals created an atmosphere that felt both elegant and welcoming. The grandeur of the venue provided a beautiful backdrop, but it never overshadowed what mattered most.

Throughout the day, Amina and Arsalan remained remarkably present with one another. A smile across the room. A hand reached out instinctively. A shared laugh during a quiet moment between events. The kinds of interactions that often pass unnoticed in real time, yet become some of the most meaningful memories years later.

The celebration reflected many parts of their story. Egyptian and Pakistani influences appeared throughout the day, from the lively zaffe that filled the ballroom with energy to the thoughtful details woven throughout the festivities. Each element added another layer to the experience while remaining true to the couple at the center of it all.

One of the things I loved most about photographing this wedding was how naturally everything unfolded. Nothing felt forced. Nothing felt performative. The emotions, the laughter, the celebration, and even the quieter moments all felt genuine. That resulted in a wedding that felt less focused on spectacle and more focused on the people experiencing it.

Years from now, Amina and Arsalan will undoubtedly remember the beautiful venue, the music, the traditions, and the celebration that brought everyone together. But I imagine they'll remember something else, too. The feeling of looking across a crowded room and finding the same person they would choose again. And again.
