A Timeless DC Love Story
In the golden light of early autumn, Katrina and William gathered their closest loved ones for a celebration that radiated elegance, intimacy, and joy. Hosted in the heart of the city and exquisitely designed by Birch Management, their wedding was a masterclass in refined simplicity — where every detail felt intentional, heartfelt, and effortlessly beautiful.
Their story began with an unassuming meeting that slowly, then all at once, turned magnetic. William describes their first encounter as “pure magic,” while Katrina playfully admits it took a few more moments to realize he was the one. But once their story found its rhythm, it never let go.
On the wedding day, every element was crafted to reflect their shared aesthetic — timeless yet fresh, classic but not conventional. Nestled in the heart of Arlington, VA, this breathtaking summer wedding at the prestigious Army Navy Country Club was a seamless blend of timeless elegance and heartfelt celebration. With panoramic views of the DC skyline and the refined ambiance of a classic country club, the setting provided an exquisite backdrop for a wedding that exuded sophistication. Expertly planned and designed by Birch Management, every detail was thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple's love story with effortless grace. The couple, deeply rooted in tradition yet effortlessly modern, exchanged vows under a lush floral chuppah adorned with warm-hued roses, a striking contrast to the crisp white and navy tones of the groom’s distinguished military attire. The grandeur of the ballroom, adorned with opulent chandeliers and lush floral arrangements, set the tone for an evening of refined revelry, where family and friends toasted to love, legacy, and the promise of forever.
From the golden glow of an intimate first dance to the joyous sparkler exit under the Virginia night sky, every moment of this wedding was a testament to luxury, love, and impeccable style. A Persian-Fusion Affair at the Iconic Willard InterContinental
Steps from the White House, beneath the storied grandeur of the Willard InterContinental, Maryam and Reed exchanged vows in a celebration that was at once timeless, modern, and deeply personal. Designed and orchestrated by the inimitable Patrice Golesorkhi of Exclusively Events, their wedding unfolded as a seamless fusion of Iranian heritage and elevated East Coast elegance.
The day began with a cinematic first look on the hotel’s grand staircase, followed by luminous portraits that framed Maryam’s couture Reem Acra gown in sculptural light and stone. At the heart of the ceremony stood a traditional Sofreh Aghd — thoughtfully layered with crystal, silver, and heirloom treasures. A tribute to Maryam’s late father was quietly and reverently woven into the design, anchoring the moment with profound emotion.
Cocktail hour welcomed guests al fresco with signature cocktails and a seasonal, locally sourced menu. As dusk fell over Pennsylvania Avenue, the celebration gave way to a gilded ballroom reception — where golden light, Persian knife dancing, and effervescent joy carried the night.
